BCS Birmingham Branch – A Computational Christmas: Does it (still) all add up?

Share

Presented by Chris Hills – RAC, AA & Cycling Proficiency Badge

Details:

For those of you who remember the first Computational Christmas presentation several years ago, you will know this is a fun presentation without a computer in sight (other than those who worked out the speed of Santa’s sleigh)

This is an interesting look at the Traditional Christmas that will surprise many (including the Branch Chairman as it has been revised and there are some new surprises) looking back and sideways  over the last 500 years. This year there will be sound and video to supplement but no  hymn/carol  singing!

There will be questions and prizes. For example for those who know what colour Father Christmas’ clothes are. Oranges,  & sweets for good girls and boys and lumps of coal for the rest. If this presentation does not raise a smile nothing will!  In which case, you might win a humbug! Bring partners, friends etc. but no one (of any age) who still believes that Santa brings the presents.

NOTE This presentation will not touch on anyone’s faith and should not offend anyone.

Closing date for bookings is Sunday 11 December 2016 at 11:59pm. No more bookings will be taken after this date.
For overseas delegates who wish to attend the event please note that BCS do not issue invitation letters.
