HMRC VAT Technical Update

We would like to offer a hand of welcome to ALL PinWM members that may wish to come to our next event with the Association of Accounting Technicians Birmingham Branch being held on Tuesday 13th February at the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce near Five Ways. No matter what part of PINWM you are in !

This is going to be a good night for Accountants and Non Accountants alike, as VAT is something that affects us all.

There will be opportunities where cross-networking can take place over hot food and drinks (free) where professionals of different specialisms will have the opportunity to talk to Accounting Professionals. We welcome PINWM members heartily!

Simone Hurst is an accomplished speaker and practicing VAT consultant of many years standing. She began her VAT career as the youngest ever direct entrant Executive Officer in HM Customs & Excise working as a VAT control officer before moving on to manage an in-house VAT practice for a firm of accountants in Yorkshire and then working for one of the Big 4 firms. She now runs her own independent VAT practice, VATease, and has done for 17 years. Simone now travels the country presenting seminars and training sessions to a number of organisations as well as operating a VAT helpline service supporting accountancy/legal practices and business alike

We at AAT Birmingham Branch have been extremely fortunate in booking Simone to talk to us and update us on VAT legislations and current items of note in VAT.

This event will cover:
– General overview on VAT
– General development in VAT
– Amendments in VAT flat rate scheme
– Current issues in VAT
